“All Gave Some, Some Gave All” is a quote often remembered when referring to the heroes who serve our country and protect our great nation. The price of our freedoms is paid through the sacrifices of these men and women and also their families. Here in Nebraska, many would like to show their appreciation and honor these individuals.
WAYMO Challenge (What Are You Made Of Challenge) designs and hosts adventure races/obstacle courses across Nebraska. As part of their mission, they donate 50% of the profits of their events to military veteran’s charities to recognize and honor those who protect our families and the freedoms we enjoy.
WAYMO Challenge has set a plan in action to honor and serve Nebraska’s veterans. The upcoming events for October 27th are designed to establish the Nebraska Fallen Heroes Memorial to be placed at Camp GARGANO. Additionally, funds will be set aside for establishing a scholarship program for family members of Nebraska’s Fallen Heroes. Their sacrifices will be memorialized and honored for years to come….and we as a community will have the opportunity to give back to their families in the form of scholarship programs.
The events on October 27th will include the WAYMO Challenge Course (5K with lots of great obstacles) and also a 1 Mile Walk. In addition to the Challenge and the Walk there will also be vendors, sponsors, organizations, food, games, music, awards presentations and a few SPECIAL GUESTS!
